KingFisher^TM Flex

– Automated DNA extraction for rapid detection of GMOs, allergens and animal species

The compact and robust KingFisher^TM Flex has been validated for the detection of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), allergens and animal species. Together with the foodproof^® Magnetic Preparation Kit III, the system allows optimal DNA extraction even from complex matrices. The foodproof^® Magnetic Preparation Kit III uses magnetic beads to extract highly purified DNA for direct use in real-time PCR applications, such as the foodproof^® detection and quantification kits. In contrast to the foodproof^® RoboPrep⁺ HT the KingFisher^TM Flex transfers the magnetic beads rather than liquids. This combination provides a unique solution for quick and safe automated extraction of plant and animal DNA from food, beverages, environmental samples and raw materials. The robot processes 96 samples in only 35 minutes with no risk of cross-contamination.
The KingFisher^TM Flex is a fast and inexpensive option. The system was validated for laboratories and food producers with medium to high sample throughput.
