Foodborne Pathogens
A pathogen is a synonym for a disease-causing microorganism. Food pathogens represent a special form of microbial pathogens, which are picked up and spread through food.

foodproof® Aspergillus Detection LyoKit
The foodproof Aspergillus Detection LyoKit is the perfect choice for specific and sensitive multiplex detection of Aspergillus in cannabis and cannabis products. Designed to completely meet all specifications of the AOAC SMPR, it allows the detection of the four pathogenic Aspergillus species, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus terreus – in a single test. In combination with the foodproof StarPrep Two 8-Strip Kit for DNA-extraction, the risk of inhibition from matrix components is minimized so that optimal results can always be obtained, regardless of the sample type. The lyophilized format allows convenient workflow handling and improved sensitivity through larger sample volumes.
The foodproof® Aspergillus Detection LyoKit is the only lyophilized Aspergillus kit on the market and is compatible with most real-time PCR instruments.
