foodproof® StarPrep Five Kit
The StarPrep Five Kit is designed for the quickest and easiest extraction of animal DNA. The entire workflow is performed in a single tube, minimizing handling steps and cross-contamination. The extraction Kit has been tested on many different food and feed samples and it also applicable on more complicated matrices such as gelatine.
Principle
- The 3 included buffers are mixed just before start of extraction.
- Fresh sample is added to the prepared buffer mix.
- Suspension is lysed by mechanical cell disruption and heat incubation.
- After centrifugation, the DNA is in the supernatant and ready to use.
Features
- Fast extraction of animal DNA from food samples with minimized handling steps and contamination risk.
