foodproof® StarPrep Six 8-Strip Kit (for Yeast and Mold)
Enables a quick and easy high-throughput DNA extraction of yeast and mold in dairy products using 8 well strips. Besides mechanical and heat-induced lysis the protocol includes a differentiation of live and dead cells.
Principle
- Cells are treated with Reagent D* to eliminate the DNA of dead cells
- Then, cells are lysed by mechanical disruption and incubation in the foodproof StarPrep Six 8-Strip lysis buffer.
- After centrifugation, the DNA is in the supernatant and ready to use.
